2009 Under 16s National Champions UK

Under 16s National Champions: Garvy Beh, Andreas Papoyans, Jasmine Pidgley, Chris Ewing.Our season really started with Garvy Beh[M] heading off to Argentina to play in the Copa Potrillos. Garvy played outstandingly well in helping his team to win this very prestigious tournament. His handicap in Argentina was subsequently raised to 2, so huge congratulations to him! (more…)

Joevy Beh was featured in the magazinePolo may be the game of kings, but it is far from genteel. In this year’s women’s national finals, a player was knocked from her horse onto her head and shoulders and a horse had a fatal heart attack under its rider. Polo is a rough and tumble sport. “There’s a reason there are face guards on the helmets,” says polo player Emily Dameron (Col ’12). “When they play without them, I’ve seen people get teeth knocked out, split their lip all the way up to their nose from being hit with a ball.” (more…)

Harriman Cup 2009 BP Polo Malaysia player, Chevy Beh participated in Harriman Cup in New York.

This year the Harriman Cup celebrated its 25th anniversary. What is the Harriman Cup? The Harriman Cup is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting awareness of polo and supporting the collegiate polo programs at Yale and the University of Virginia. (more…)
